Supplies needed

Font of choice I used Brush Script MT
Tube of choice I use artwork ©Beatriz Gonzalez
Monti's Modern Red-Gold-Green Christmas Scrap Kit

Open new canvas 600 x 600

Set foreground colour to #bb1048

Preset tool > preset rectangle > stroke width 15 > convert to raster layer > rename layer frame

Effects > plug-in > eye candy > chrome

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Paper-Red Stars > Crop tool > draw rectangle over top third of the paper

> click apply > resize by 75% > paste as new layer

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Paper-Red Stars > resize by 75% > paste as new layer

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Paper-Merry Christmas > resize by 75%

Image > rotate > counter clockwise 90 Crop tool > draw rectangle over top half the width of the paper

> paste as new layer

This is what we should now have on our work space

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Paper-Gold Crop tool > draw thin rectangle over top third of the paper

> click apply > resize by 75% > paste as new layer

Duplicate this layer > image rotate > free rotate left 90 make sure to un-tick all layers

and rotate layer around single canvas

Merge down the gold stripe with other gold layer > rename layer gold

X out frame layer and Gold and merge Visible > Rename this layer background

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Paper-Red Stars > Crop tool > draw rectangle on the paper

> click apply > resize by 75% > paste as new layer > position as shown below

Selections > select all > float > de-float > modify > contract by 8

> While antilised X out all layers > click new raster layer

Set foreground colour to white and flood fill layer

Selections > select none merge down

Duplicate layer > image > mirror > position > merge both frames > rename layer Pictures

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Tag-Red Stars > image > rotate clockwise 90% > right click

> copy and paste as new layer > rename layer Label > move layer below pictures

Plug-in > eye candy > gradient glow > fat > white> apply to Label, gold, frame

Effects > 3d effects > drop shadow > apply to label repeat 2 times more,

> apply to gold layer 3 times 2

Click picture layer and apply drop shadow same as above but making sure shadow on new layer is ticked

Raster deform tool > move shadow layer so it’s visible > duplicate layer

Image > mirror

Click on layer palette and merge Visible

This is how your tag should now look

Foreground colour to white > x out background colour > preset tool > ellipse > circle > stroke width 8

> covert to raster layer > rename circle

Open tube layer >Image > resize by 45 > Copy and paste as new layer > position on frame

Effects > 3d effects > drop shadow > making sure shadow on new layer is ticked

> merge with tube layer

Duplicate tube > image > mirror > merge with other tube layer

Open tube layer > image> resize 69 > copy and paste as new layer

Click circle layer and arrange > bring to top

Select magic wand tool > click inside circle > selections > invert

Click tube layer positioned behind circle and hit the delete key on keyboard > selections > select none

My tube had a copyright layer > image > resize > 69% > copy > paste as new layer > place top right hand corner

Click on layer palette and merge visible

Open Monti Christmas RGG-Christmas Lights > image > resize 45

Paste as new layer

Raster deform tool > position to desired position

Right Click on layer and duplicate > image > mirror

Erase tool > erase lights in centre of layer > merge light layers > X out background layer

Freehand selection tool > point to point > and draw round first red light

> right click to antilised when you completed drawing round the light

While antilised hold down the shift key this lets you select and apply an effect to more than one thing at a time

> now draw round the other red lights

Right click on layer palette once all the red light are antilised and promote selection to layer

> rename layer red > selection > select none

Repeat this step for the other lights naming each layer the colour of lights

Adjust > automatic contrast enhancement > settings below > repeat settings again

Repeat for yellow and green light layers

Select light layer and duplicate so you have three copies

Merge one light with the red layer > repeat for yellow and green light layer

Duplicate the background layer so you have three copies and merge one light layer with one background layer

Text tool > Brush Script MT > 100 > set background colour to white > name > convert to raster layer

Duplicate name layer till you have three layers > merge one with background layer

You should be left with just three layers and save

Animation shop

Open saved file > animation > resize 85

Animations > frame properties > 35 > save
