Pom Poms

Supplies needed

Font of choice I used times roman
Bling I used Falling star
It can be downloaded here NMS Tutorials
Tube of choice I used the artwork of Joel Adams
His licence can be purchased from CILM


Open psp 500,500 raster layer > open Lil Michaela tube > right click copy > paste on raster layer

Image > resize > 80% > close original Lil Michaela tube

Preset shape > symmetric shape > star > draw a star the tip level with the top of her hair

and the bottom points level with her top shoe lace

Click the + sign on layer palette > double click symmetric shape a box appears > stroke >

#afe4ff > stroke with 3> click fill > white > Texture miscwild > ok Convert to



Preset shape > symmetric shape > star > draw a star the tip level with the top of her hair

and the bottom points level with her top shoe lace

Click the + sign on layer palette > double click symmetric shape a box appears

> un-tick stroke > click fill > #afe4ff > Texture miscwild > ok

Convert to raster layer > merge down stars making sure the blue one is above > rename Blue

Preset shape > symmetric shape > star > fill red draw small star next to Lil Michaela’s top pom pom



Duplicate > image > mirror > move down to level with Lil Michaela’s sock



Merge down both red stars > rename layer Red > drop layer Occupancy to 60



Preset shape > symmetric shape > Circle > stroke black > stroke with 3 > fill > un-tick

Draw circle around the stars



Text > times roman > 36 > black > move mouse to edge of the circle and the letter A

will turn to an angle with a curve under it “Your boyfriend was messing with my pom poms last night!”



Twist and position to desired place > X out new eclipse shape > this should make

the black circle disappear and leave you just with the text > convert to raster layer

Preset shape > symmetric shape > Circle > stroke black > stroke with 3 > fill > un-tick

Draw circle around the blue star



Text > times roman > 12 > black > move mouse to edge of the circle and the letter A

will turn to an angle with a curve under it “© Joel Adams www.lil.net”

Twist and position to desired place > X out new eclipse shape

> this should make the black circle disappear and leave you just with the text > convert to raster layer

Text > times roman > 23 > black > type first have of name and place on the star >

Repeat > type second part of name and place on opposite side of star > convert to raster layer

Merge Visible > so you left with just one layer > save

Open Animation shop

Animation > Resize percentage of original 80

Open Falling star Bling > to make it easier to position on your tag > edit > select all > animation > reserve frames

Select your tag and right click tag > duplicate selected > till you have 18 frames same number as the Bling

If you happen to duplicate to many don’t worry click frame > delete extra > repeat till 18

Select your tag background frame 1 once it’s selected it will turn red

Select frame 1 of Falling stat. > edit > select all >

All the frames will turn blue when you done this



Drag first frame of Falling star.

Onto tag background and position over top red star



Click View > animation to check you are happy with the animations so far

Select the falling star the frames will be all white and grey cross hatching

> edit undo drag and the Bling frames with reappear

Select frame 1 of Falling star > edit > select all

> All the frames will turn blue when you done this

Select frame 1 on tag background



Drag first frame of Falling star onto tag background Frame 1

Position over bottom red star

Click view and animation to check that blinds are positions and working correctly

If happy close the robertablingblingtrail6 file

You should now be left with the tag background

Your name frame on your animation workspace

Click view and animation to check that tag looks and works fine no errors

Save

And were finished
