Open white Canvas 600 x 600

At end of the tutorial resize tag or if you prefer working smaller use a smaller size

Open TW-SGB-Frame2 > image > resize by 50 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > pick tool and move to left side of our workspace

Right click on TW-SGB-Frame2 layer in layer palette > duplicate > image > mirror

I don’t normally use merge down much in tutorials so that it leaves my blank template open so I can use edit and change the blank for tags But I highly recommend on this one we merge down there is a lot of layers unless you feel comfortable to not. We will also be renaming layers for ease of completing the tutorial

Right click on duplicated TW-SGB-Frame2 layer in layer palette > merge > merge down

Open TW-SGB-Cloud1 > image > resize by 74 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > position to the bottom right corner of frame layer > see finished tag

Right click on layer in layer palette > duplicate cloud layer > image > mirror > position bottom left corner of frame

Right click on the duplicated cloud layer > duplicate > X- out this layer for the time being we will come back to it > this can be done by clicking the eye image on the layer

Selection tool > HOLD down Shift key on your keyboard > don’t release > draw around both frames > see pick below

1

Now you should have two Anti-Aliased squares > release the shift key > layers > new raster layer > move the newly added layer to below frames layer in layer palette > rename layer Sky > making sure you have it selected in layer palette

Plug-in MuRa's Filter Meister Cloud > Just above reset colours button you will see three boxes > Click on the first colour, when the colour box open at the bottom you will see HTML in this write #e8f1ff > Repeat for the second box

On the last colour box > set this to white

Click ok > now with the settings below > apply plug – in

2

Do no de- select > now select your original TW-SGB-Cloud1 layer in layer palette > right click > promote selection to layer > right click on layer in layer palette again > arrange > bring to top

Now select the duplicated cloud layer (one we didn’t X –out) right click on it in layer palette > promote selection to layer > right click on layer in layer palette again > arrange > bring to top

Selections select none

Now you should have two layers above our frame layer in layer palette called Promoted Selection & Promoted Selection 1

Right click on Promoted Selection 1 layer > merge > merge down > double click on layer in layer palette > layer properties box will open > type the name bushes in the name area

Plug-in Filters Unlimited 2 > colour effects > colourise > Settings below

3

Move Bushes layer to below frame layer in layer palette

Un X-Out our hidden Cloud layer > pick tool > move cloud to position above top frame > see finished tag

Selection tool > same settings we used earlier > draw around cloud between the 1st and 2nd lot of leaves on the frame > see pick below

4

Now it should have become Anti-Aliased > Hit the delete key on your keyboard on cloud layer

Right click on the top Cloud layer in layer palette > merge > down > repeat so all three clouds are now merged and on one layer

Change blend mode on merge cloud layer > from normal to Lumminace

Open TW-SGBPaper12 > image > resize by 80 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move to just above background layer in layer palette

Layers > load/save mask > load mask from disk > 70 insatiabledreams > use settings below

5

Right click on group mask layer > merge > merge group > drop opacity on this layer from 100 to 55

Select our Sky layer in layer palette > click the eye icon and turn off layer for now

Now I wont lie there a lot of selection and promote selection coming up because I wanted my monkeys to behind the grass or poking out if you don’t want to do that much fiddling paste the monkey front of the grass or the tree ever time.. It’s up to you

Open TW-SGB-Monkey2 > image > resize by 50 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move to below sky layer > pick tool > position monkey top right corner of frame > see finished tag > rename layer Monkey 2

If you are going to animate the tag you need to do this next step, if you don’t want to animate the tag. Join back in where the Red star appears.

Open TW-SGB-Monkey1> image > resize by 50 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move to below sky layer pick tool > position monkey top right corner of frame > rename monkey 1

Now we need these two monkeys to be perfectly aligned so they don’t judder

Zoom in I use my roller ball on my mouse to zoom in but if you don’t have this function set on yours > view > zoom in

Click the eye icon on Monkey1 this should be your top monkey layer on and off repeatedly > if you have a shudder of the monkey left to right like its shaking

Top tip now this I find a very nifty function I use a lot and one under used and once you mastered it not to hard its great to fix that animated tag that some how a layers moved when you were making it and copy mergeing and pasting into animation shop

Select the pick tool > see the Arm node in the centre of the monkey when you hover your mouse over it > it changes to look like the four compass points > click once on the tag

6

Now on your computer keypad you have 4 arrow keys click these once or twice which ever needed and your monkey will move so if it’s a little off to the left click the right arrow if a little down then click the up arrow

Remember to turn the eye icon on and off to check > once it’s perfect > breath a sigh of relief

Freehand Selection tool > draw around his left carefully > see pic below > once happy > right click on moneky1 layer in layer palette > promote selection to layer >

7

Selections > select none > rename layer Arm 1 > move arm one to above frame layer in layer palette > un-X-Out the sky layer

*Open TW-SGB-Palm Tree3 image > resize by 60 > make sure all layers is un – ticked > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move layer to below Frame layer in layer palette Position tree to left hand side of frame > see finished tag

You will see the tree even though we have resized it is still to wide > pick tool > and I know it distorts the shape but push from the middle node on the right hand side > see pic below > and push toward the left hand side edge of tag

8

Freehand Selection tool > draw around the tree leaves top > start between the fourth and fifth leaf up on the left edge of the frame > see below > left click at points to select or change direction draw around the outside of leaf > when back to the beginning right click on mouse clicker > and it should now of become Anti-Alias

9

Right click on tree layer in layer palette > promote selection to layer > rename Tree top > selections > select none > move tree top layer to above frame layer

Open TW-SGB-Grass2 > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move layer to below frame layer in layer palette

Selection tool > HOLD down the shift key and do not release it > draw around the over lap of leaves on the left side > in between frame join and right side over lap

10

Once you have drawn all three > you can release the shift key on keyboard > hit the delete key on your keyboard > the overlap should now of been deleted

Selections > select none

Open TW-SGB-Monkey5 > image > resize by 35 > edit > copy > paste as new layer > move layer to below our tree top layer > Rename layer Monkey 3

Selection tool > draw around the TW-SGB-Monkey5 to just below his armpits > right click on Monkey5 layer in layer palette > promote selection to layer

11

Double click on our promoted layer in layer palette > rename armpits > move this layer to above our tree top layer in layer palette

Open TW-SGB-Monkey7 > image > resize by 52 > edit > copy > paste as new layer > below our grass layer > image > mirror > position monkey in middle of left frame > rename monkey 4

Selection tool > same settings as before > HOLD down your shift key on keyboard > draw around the feet hanging down under the frame > while still holding the shift key down > draw around the tail between the two frames > now should have become one box and be Anti-Aliased > you can now release your hold on the shift key

12

Hit the delete key on your keyboard > selection > select none

Still with the selection > now draw around the monkey 7 left hand and face that are hidden by the leaves > once Anti-Aliased > right click on monkey7layer in layer palette > promote selection to layer > selections > select none

13

Double click on the promoted selection layer in layer palette rename face > move layer to above tree top layer in layer palette

Open TW-SGB-Monkey8 > image > resize by 52 > edit > copy > paste as new layer

Image > free rotate > settings below

14

Position monkey8 bottom right corner of right frame > see finished tag > move Monkey8 layer to below the grass layer in layer palette > Rename layer Monkey 5

Selection tool > HOLD down the shift key on keyboard and draw around the legs of the monkey below the frame > still holding shift key down > draw around the side leg

15

Now hit delete key on keyboard > selections select none

Now cheer as that’s the last monkey and now on to the nice simple bits

Open TW-SGB-Word Art1 > edit > copy > paste as new layer > position bottom of tag > so the Middle line of the A is on the bottom edge of frame > see finished tag

Open TW-SGB-Bee > image > resize by 20 > edit > copy > paste as new layer

Image > free rotate > settings below

16

Position bee over the 2nd A and so it just cover the bottom of the N > see finished tag

Select our opened TW-SGB-Bee element again > edit > undo > image resize by 12 > edit > copy > paste as new layer >

Image > free rotate > same setting we just used > position Bee above 2nd leaf on the right hand edge of frame

Right click on this bee layer in layer palette > duplicate > image > mirror > position be just above third leaf on left hand side of frame > see finished tag

Open TW-SGB-Banana1 > image > resize by 10 > edit > copy > paste as new layer > position banana in hand of the monkey poking out the treetop

Effects > 3d effects > drop shadow > use settings below

Apply this drop shadow effect to each of the layers listed below

Monkey1, 2,3,4,5, Tree, grass, frame, Banana word art, and all 3 bees, banana

17

Set background colour to black > text tool > size 36 > font > Book Antiqua > type SHE’S GONE > right click on text vector layer in layer palette > convert to raster layer

Text tool > size 36 > font > Book Antiqua > type your name size may vary on length of your name > right click on text vector layer in layer palette > convert to raster layer

Select the SHE’S GONE text layer in layer palette > Effects > 3d effects > drop shadow > use settings below

18

Apply this drop shadow effect to the layers > your name & cloud layer also

Crop tool > draw around excess white are of tag > making sure you don’t crop your mask layer edge > drag from any of the nodes if your not happy > when happy with size click the green tick on tool bar to apply

19

Image > resize by 85 > make sure all layer is ticked
